Propeller Anime's Holiday Party to benefit The MAP Foundation!

Propeller Anime will be hosting our first ever holiday party and charity event on Saturday, December 8th to benefit The MAP Foundation at Bikkuri Lounge in downtown Orlando. We will have a fantastic night of entertainment and fun and you are invited to come out and party for a wonderful cause!

RSVP on Facebook.
The MAP Foundation will help us get donations to children's charities!
The MAP Foundation, based out of Orlando, FL, is a charity and fundraising organization. Their goal is to lend a hand to local and like-minded national charities and to help people in need. They also strive to give back to our community and help Orlando's young people find their map to achieve their goals.

To help The MAP Foundation and the families of the charity organizations that they work with to have a better holiday season, Propeller Anime will be holding a drive for children's toys, books, manga, graphic novels, and boardgames. Moreover, all profits from the event will be donated to charity organizations supported by The MAP Foundation.

Bikkuri Lounge is located 1915 E. Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL 32803
Entry into the event is $5 cash when you bring in something to donate to our drive. Otherwise it is $10 cash for entry. You must also have a valid I.D. stating that you are at least 18 years of age.

With paid entry, you will be given a raffle ticket for our prize drawings throughout the night. You can purchase additional raffle tickets for more chances to win!

We have a tremendous amount of entertainment already booked for the party. We will have live music acts from the "nerdcore" world such Mega Ran, MC Wreckshin, HD Ninja, and funky49. The incredibly talented Skill Focus: Burlesque are returning for another set of fantastic performances!

We have invited the artists known as Chalk Twins to work on a new piece to auction at the party. Last but not least, we will have videogames setup for casual play and karaoke after everyone has performed!

Here is some more about our performers and guests!

Random, aka Mega Ran
Random, aka Mega Ran. Teacher, Rapper, Hero. A 14-year music veteran, middle school teacher and videogame aficionado, Random’s songs are filled with all of the heartache, pain, triumph, tragedy and fun that come with everyday living.

Random’s critically acclaimed projects as Mega Ran include FOREVER FAMICOM, a tribute to NES classics, and BLACK MATERIA, an album based on the music of hit Final Fantasy VII.

Ran continues to reach new heights after video game corporation CAPCOM offered Random an exclusive licensing agreement, leading to movie, TV and game soundtrack placements and tours of the US, UK and Japan and more.

MC Wreckshin
From the moment he was born, MC Wreckshin knew he was destined to become the world's most hardcore gangsta rapper. At a very young age he joined the most hardcore gang in Jupiter.

He used his experiences as a gangbanger to write some of the most intense lyrics imaginable; lyrics about robotic pandas, bath salt zombies, Japan's plan to destroy America with Majin Buu, and swag. Lots of swag.

After a month long robotussin binge, MC Wreckshin somehow ended up on the streets of Orlando, Florida. Since then he has became one of the top hip hop acts in town, as voted by the readers of Orlando Weekly's 2012 "Best of Orlando."

HD Ninja
HD Ninja is the most mysterious force in the nerdcore world. No data on them is available but they are regarded to be incredibly dangerous. On occasion, they appear from the shadows with a musical assault on the senses chronicling their ninja adventures in the form of lyrical rhyme.

funky49
funky49 is a rapper and science enthusiast from Tampa, FL. In 2012 he has performed at the USA Science & Engineering Festival, the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum and the St Petersburg Science Festival.

He has presented on the topic of science & hip-hop at TEDx, Fermilab and the National Academy of Sciences. funky49 was named a “Nerdcore Hip-Hop All Star” by Wired magazine. His album "Starblazer" is available on iTunes & Amazon. Other works are available at funky49.bandcamp.com.

Skill Focus: Burlesque
Skill Focus: Burlesque is Florida's one and only nerdy burlesque troupe. These ladies combine their love of all things geeky with the sass and comedy of old-school burlesque, all while aiming to put on the most epic show you've ever seen. They will have anime-themed performances prepared for the party as part of their show!
Chalk Twins
Chalk art is a performing art. Devon and Lexi interact with audiences, talking about art, anime, movies, books or whatever else people wish to discuss – all while the artwork comes alive at their feet. Chalk Twins have performed professionally at conventions such as Anime Festival Orlando, Dragon*Con, and Shadocon, just to name a few.

Chalk Twins will be creating an original piece that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with the proceeds going to The MAP Foundation's charities. In addition, they will be donating 10% of the sales of their prints at the event as well!
Between now and December 8th, we will definitely have updates and additions to our holiday party, so stay tuned! We are incredibly excited since not only will this be our biggest event to date, but we'll be helping out a lot of people as well.
