Propeller Anime presents Iron Cardboard Robot Cosplay @ MegaCon 2012!


IRON CARDBOARD ROBOT COSPLAY MAKES ITS MEGACON DEBUT!

Ten teams of three will build amazing robot costumes using the likes of cardboard, construction paper, foil, plus a secret ingredient! Not only that, we'll be showing epic mecha anime while this goes down!

This is one of the many events Propeller Anime will be hosting at MegaConThis epic event will be from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, February 17th in W231 A&B at the Orange County Convention Center!  

Below is everything else you need to know about this year's Iron Cardboard Robot Cosplay!

Sign-ups will be at the Propeller Anime table outside of W232A from 2PM to 4:30PM on Friday, February 17h. Teams will be composed of three (3) members and the competition will be capped at ten (10) teams.


While costumes are being constructed, we'll have some awesome anime featuring robots playing on the screen to wow audiences and inspire participants. The winning team will win an assortment of prizes that include a variety of anime merchandise and DVDs.

Rules
  • All teams must be signed up by 4:30PM on Friday, February 17th and arrive to W231 A&B at 5PM for the start of Iron Cardboard Robot Cosplay. 
  • Each team will be composed of exactly three (3) members. Two (2) to make the costume and the other to wear it.
  • Each team will have to use the secret ingredient in their costume, but can use it however they choose.
  • Teams will spend ten (10) minutes planning their costume design.
  • After that, teams will have 115 minutes to put their costume together.
  • Teams will not try to sabotage or hinder other teams' progress.
  • Each costume will be scored by our panel of judges from a 1 to 10 scale.
  • Scores will be affected by costume creativity, use of secret ingredient, sturdiness, and quality of design. (i.e. how cool it looks.)
  • The team with the highest combined score wins.

In this manner, despite the fact that we probably won't have a solitary robot or a gathering of single robots have all the functionalities referenced above, there is no key purpose behind any of the functionalities referenced above to be considered as not producible as indicated by any known logical rule, the lone thing left to do is incorporate those functionalities together onto a solitary entire robot (and accordingly a gathering of single robots).
